Welcome to LodgingGuide's hospitality industry listings for the Boise area.
Boise is the capital of the state which is famous for the quantity and quality of its potatoes, lentils and peas.
A lesser known fact is that Idaho also ranks number one in its population of trout, and its many secluded lakes and
streams have secured a loyal following of fishermen from across the country. Before I-84, cross country travelers
heading from one coastal city to another would miss Boise, as it is tucked away in the southwest corner of the state
with no other major populated areas around it. Even today, unless you happen to be traveling a diagonal route between Salt Lake City,
Utah and Portland, Oregon, you likely will not have occasion to pass through Boise unless you make a deliberate detour.
The better hotels and restaurants are all appointed, as are the clientele, in understated conservative good taste,
using only the finest natural furnishings and ingredients from the local forests, quarries and farms.
Boise is as big and active as any other state capital, but somehow moves more quietly, keeps cleaner and presents
a more polite impression than most other towns its size.
